Started fishing Pass Lake around noon. Since it was cold out I figured the fish were probably quite deep. I started by using a sinking line and slowly trolling a black bugger near the bottom about thirty feet off shore. I followed the the shoreline for a stinking long time. I had never caught anything at Pass Lake and I was anxiously hoping for a bite. By the time I got to the North end of the lake I decided to kick out into the middle and go really deep and just head back the way I came. Almost immediately I hooked a nice 18 inch rainbow. Fat little guy. I hooked him when my sinking line was almost all the way spooled out, so it was at least 20 feet down where I hooked him. On the way back I caught another small rainbow and about a 14inch Kokanee (or it at least looked like a Kokanee). Didn't get a brown though which was what I was hoping for. Oh well. It turned out to be a good day for me all in all. A little cold though.
