Wow. What a difference a day makes. Thursday it was as if there was a bass next to every dock and behind every stump. I even caught 4 bass on 4 casts. Yesterday I returned to the lake with my fishing buddy, nx7k, and couldn't find a fish. After 4 hours of fishing we had a grand total of one 3 lb smallmouth and 2 rock bass. The only thing different was that the barometer was dropping with this weekend's weather front coming in. Whatever it was it was as if the fish vacated the shallows in mass, leaving two veteran bassers very disappointed.

I had a better day today than yesterday. 3 today and 2 yesterday. And bigger ones today. But yes, it can be very surprising and frustrating when they disappear like that.

Rick,
Thats bass bishing man! I thought that the weather change would kick the fish into a higher gear that evening. Moved a couple of muskies. Then ended up towing a power boat from dike 4 back towards Allen Yorke.
See ya Basser Guy!

Thanks for the come-back musky guy. I thought the same thing. Falling barometer, cloudy skies, a little breeze seem to add up to a good day on the water...So much for my bass fishing knowledge.
