YEAH!!!! I got my first limit of the year, I was thinking it would never happen and a bonus all Kokanee. Got to the lake around 12:45pm launched and headed over to the north side of the lake in my normal spot. Set two poles one at 30 the other 15 on the DR. Three minutes in fish on and I am thinking to myself this is going to be a great day! Took my time as this fish wanted off really bad after a nice fight one fish in the boat both hooks in the mouth he was not going anywhere.
Reset the gear and headed north and no joy, turned back and the pole does the dance grab it and release from cable and fish on. Head shaking going on good solid fish and snap lost my bloddy mary oh not happy but still had the dodger so I was happy broke off right at the hooks as the leader was still there so not sure what happened.

Reset the gear and started back south and 15 min later another pole starts dancing fish is jumping out of the water and running right at the boat and poof fish gone....I am thinking hmmm is this how my day is going to end up. No way I think reset gear and back at said hello to a fellow fisherman he had one we talked for a bit and then went on our way. I look around and there are a few boats fishing on the west side of the lake so I think why not, that is my spot for trout but hey I am not catching them over here so off I go. I pass over the hump just infront of the island and the pole start dancing fish on good fight a few jumps and then he heads deep and head shaking the whole way, I take my time and go to net it and the hook get caught on the outside of the net and I am thinking I am going to loose one more. I look at the fish and its got both hooks deep in the top roof of mouth and side jaw so I just pick the net up with the hook caught on it and pull the fish in the boat.
Reset again and trolled south and the fish started showing up deeper so I adjusted and within 10 min fish on. Grab the pole and make sure I am good but there is a boater pulling a skier heading for me so I try and get the fish in fast and lost it right at the boat as I grab the net. Stayed in the same area back and forth I go no bites so I bring the gear back up and speed up and the pole goes off good fight and another in the boat.
Reset again a skier goes by me and just after it passes my rod starts dancing pulls the line off the clip and the fight begins take my time and another in the boat. Spent the last 45 min back and forth same spot west side and I am thinking I am just about out of time and the rod starts dancing and take my time as I have really wanted a full limit of kokanee and DONE!!!

YES what a day even with the ski boats and the couple of jet skies going by I still got fish so a great day on the lake! All the fish where caught on my new dodgers that came in the day before a pink splatter back and (Wana fish a lure) Toni's Bloody Mary tip with corn what a combo today. So hooked 8 fish lost 3 and landed my limit what a day!! One fish came at 45 ft deep the other were all 30ft and less. The fish wanted it fast today 1.8-2.0 mph. Fish checker measured all fish were 14.5-16 inches.

Oh and on the way back to the launch WDFW there is a small island there and I heading in and look over and here is this deer standing there looking at me munching on the leaves. He was soke and wet but looked very happy. I will include a pic. Strange but sweet end of the trip love the wildlife.
