I was in line at 4:50am. On the lake and fishing by 5:30am. I headed toward the north launch and I got a cutthroat on my way. Then I saw a big koke jump 3 different times like he was hooked. He was only about 30 feet behind me. I looked to see if my rods were bouncing. But they were still. No one else around. I think he was messing with me!
For me it was a slow day. Once I got in the area I got one fish in and lost 2 others. The battery was going down so I thought I would head to the WDFW launch. I used Dick Nite Dodgers Watermaelon and Wannafish A Lure Gilded Lily.
They started water skiing at 6am.
Since I had switched my stuff around a few times I would put on the Zray spoon and see what happens. I had a rainbow on immediately. Then a kokanee that jumped and got off. Then it slowed and once again I was going to go. Then I get a kokanee in on that spoon. I troll around for a half hour but nothing. So I am in and getting out of my boat and someone says Hi and it is Blurocks (Brianna Bruce) boyfriend Cody. Of course I never saw them because they didn’t go to the north side and they, at that time had a bushel of kokanee and one very nice trout that was going home with Cody’s mom.
Well you got to be where the koke’s are. Now I know why I didn’t see many boats where I was. They were all on the west end of the island.

Looks to me like the skiers should be more than 100 feet from that boat

I have to agree with sinkerswim. Toni, I think you captured more than you thought with that picture. Thanks for the report.

In fact I did afk. I did not notice that they were inside the buoy at the time I took the picture. I was just concerned that I was going to have to quit.
