I had an appointment at 11:30am by the hospital in Puyallup so I thought I could get a couple hours of fishing before the running around I had to do and the appointment.
I was the first one in the parking lot and it was 5:15am. I start getting the boat ready and realize that there aren’t any coolers in the boat. The corn was in one and the fish go in the other. I thought that I would just pack it back up and not come back but then I thought...one hour is better than nothing. So I went back home and got the ice chests and was on the water around 6:15am.
I get my rods prepared and find that I had forgotten to put the corn in the bait ice chest. Can you believe that ? What to do? Well I have Berkeley maggots and some scent so I start fishing. They all were hooked on a Dick Nite pink splatter dodger with Wannafish A Lure Pink splatter squiddy thing.
Later I saw that there was a strand of wire at the end of the downrigger cable that was poking out. When I left there were two. So I had to fix that.
I had lots of action but only came home with 3 kokanee. A lot of missed opportunities. I stayed 2 hours.
