I started out in the outtake. I was throwing a jig and a strike king shimmy sick. When I was working the shimmy stick, I saw one come out, I stopped my worm the fish just swam up and took it. As soon add I set, the fish went crazy. I thought I had her whooped, then she took one more long run and pulled the hook in the pads. My plan was to fish way back in the outtake, but it was to noisy with lawnmowers, parties and brush burning n. I ran down the lake to where the creek comes out and worked the area with a spinner bait. Then decided to move father down to where it flattens out. Again with the shimmy stick, I felt a bite. I cranked my drag down this time though. I horsed in a 3.7 lmb. My first one of the year. I stuck with that bait and caught one more about 2.5. I dug that one over a tree though! I left for to the lake at 430 and stopped fishing at 730. Water was 59 to 62. All fish were in about 2 ft of water. Weight less Texas rigged 5 inch shimmy stick. All three fish fought the hardest of any bass I have ever caught.

I really appreciate the report Piranha. I'm planning a trip this week. I agree with you. The fish I've caught at Tanwax were some of the strongest fish I've ever caught. They've almost all come off the side opposite Rainbow Resort and all came on green pumpkin/black flake 5"
Senkos. I don't know where Outtake is though. Thanks for the information.

Tanwax can be a real sleeper, and like Ohop, has some real pigs in it.

Thanks, when you leave the launch and go left and around the corner, that's the outtake. It goes back about 100 yards or so.
