I arrived at the lake and found it to be a zoo. I wasn't very optimistic that the fishing would be great.

I got in my float tube and fished along the shoreline to the left of the boat launch and around.
I was fishing with a maroon carrey special fly with intermediate sink flyline and trolling about the length of my flyline behind my tube. Wooly buggers worked well too.

Within minutes, I hooked into a nice 13" rainbow. It looked as if it had been planted this year. Minutes later, another rainbow about 14". I was catching and releasing. I ended up catching 8 fish all over twelve inches. One was 15 1/2 inches. Very good day for fishing despite the crowd.
