Made my usual trek to Lake McMurray on opening day. Got there at about 10 a.m. but did not start until about 11. The first hour my six pack fly did nothing-three hits and two fish-then it came alive. I did not count all my fish but paddling across the lake in my float tube to use the rest room resulted in 9 fish landed in one pass. The rest of the day was like that. kept two 14 inchers for a friend and the rest went back. Used sinking tip on a floating line and patterns included six pack, black wolly worm and black wolly bugger. Probably many others would have worked. Try it early in the season even with this cool weather we are having, later use power bait on the bottom.
