Had a few hours in the morning open so I figured I'd check out Lake Mac. Usually fishes pretty well for a month or so after the opener. Got to the lake about 8am on a sunny morning and fished a type III sinking line. Very slow fishing. I varied the depths and flies frequently. C&R'd 2 planted 'bows on a green WB fished about 6 feet under the surface. Fished for about 3 hours and saw only about 5 other fish caught by an estimated 20 boats. Not sure if the sunny weather caused the fishing to slow down or what? Will probably give it another shot sometime this week.
