Launched the boat around 9 AM and found my favorite spot. Started out with rainbow colored power bait, and netted 2 rainbows in about a half hour. The bite slacked off for a while so switched over to flo. orange and brought the rest of my limit to the boat. Fish are biting very soft, so let them take the bait for a second or two and then lightly pull up on the rod. Setting the hook this way will keep from jerking the hook out. One thing I would like to say about launching my boat at this lake is that wrestling with all the vehicles that are parked in the boat launch area is getting to be a joke. I have nothing against fishing from the shore. I did it for many years before I was able to get a boat. Please be courteous and leave your rig back at the designated parking areas so people that are launching boats can have enough room to maneuver their rigs. Thank you and good fishin'.
