So I heard from a friend that this lake was loaded with bass and crappie and was pretty excited to give it a try.I arrived at about 10:30, and left at about 3pm. Since I don't have a boat, I fished all around the lake from shore. I worked weightless soft plastics in and around the weeds and logs for hours, not a single bite. So I decided to try a worm and bobber for a little bit. Still no bite after a couple hours. So I packed up and left. Its frustrating because the bottom of the lake is so slimy and you cant cast out far enough from shore to get in deep water. Small fish were jumping all around the whole time I was there though. If anyone has a two man boat that we could carry out there I would really love to fish this lake from a boat! Im sure there are fish here, I will not give up! It was really quiet and peaceful which was nice compared to fishing some better known places, but there was trash EVERYWHERE! That was really disappointing to see.

Definitely wanting to get a boat soon. But until then, you think I could get in the zone with a 1/2 oz or more of lead and a worm floated a couple feet off the bottom? I think I could get that out far enough to get into deeper water. I would love to get a few of those crappie ive been seeing pictures of!

If u could cast 100 yard than u might have a chance. It is a little too early for them to move in to the shallow water. Fish from shore should be primed in the 1-2 week of may when the water slightly start to reach in the 60s. I reccomand a kayak on this lake.
