We started fishing by 8:30 and had the first fish on fifteen minutes later, a small walleye. The action stayed fast until 11:30 then slowed to a trickle. We had several doubles, but the fish were small. We landed a few fish that were 16 inches. Most of the walleyes were around 12 inches. We caught them trolling with smiley blades in 24 to 35 feet of water on some humps. It did not seem to matter what color as they hit anything I tried. We did lose one nice fish that might have been around 5 or 6 pounds. We released most of the fish and kept a few of the 16s for dinner. I even caught a couple of burbot. The wind finally blew us off the water around 2.
