I checked WDFW website and found the Lake Shoecraft was planted recently. With all the bad weather lately I was anxious to get out and do some fishing with my 6 year old son Miles. We started fishing about 10:00 trolling dodgers and wedding rings tipped with a small piece of worm. Trolled around the lake and ended up in one corner of the lake with lots of surface activity. Once we found the fish it was non stop action. We had about 20 hookups and landed 10 in about 2 hours. All were your typical 11-12 inch hatchery trout however, they were quite fiesty and Miles had a great time reeling them in. One other guy on the lake fishing in a kayak, he had 4 when I talked to him. Beautiful warm day and great to get out and catch some fish!
