Beautiful day to be on the lake fishing! We hit the lake about 11am and fished until 2pm. We launched and headed to the south end of the lake. Pretty much spent the whole time trolling around that end, and ended up with both of us limiting. We were trolling in mostly 20 - 25 ft of water, and both of us have 2-pole endorsements and we were using woolley buggers - most of the fish were caught using a couple of different shades of olive - I have darker ones & my dad has lighter ones. Both were successful yesterday. We also tip them with worms. There were several times when both poles (for each of us) had hits on them at the same time, which made it interesting.

There was one other boat on the lake, looked like locals, that were also catching a lot of fish. They were trolling as well in the same general area.

Water level kind of high, due to the amount of rain we've had recently.

We saw several Bald Eagles soaring in the skies and watched one drop down to grab a fish a few times too. We had a lot of fun and will definitely go back again. We tend to fish Panther primarily in the spring because they don't stock a lot of fish here. I have been skunked trying later in the year a few times.

Wow, those fish have deep bodies! At first glance I thought you had a crappie or two in the mix.

Nope! All trout! One was a lot thicker in the body than the others, but all were good eating last night. We had lots of fun catching them.

No kidding, that one trout is as deep as two planters laying side by side would be. What did the trout range in size. Hard to say, but look to be 12" or better?

They were all about 12" in length - give or take an inch.
