I had to check out Big Lake today to see see if the rising temps did anything to turn on the largemouth bite. Water temps ranged from 46 to 50 degrees from morning to afternoon. I threw everything at em today at every depth and didn't see a fish. Tried dropshot, jigs ,swim jigs, chatter bait, spinnerbait, swimbait, lipless crank. Nada. It was a good to take a look at the lake again though. There is a tournament put on by pond jumperz may 24th that is open to the public. Check that tourney out as the fishing is awesome on this lake that time of year.

Thanks for the report. Love to see the water temps raise. A tournament on Big Lake? that sounds like fun, count me in. :)

Im probably gonna be there as well. Im glad to hear the temps are rising too! now all we need is for the rain to relax some and we will be golden.

Warm rain would be good, but the cold rain isn't good.
