Since the sun peek out today I figure I go fishing. Been reading the reports on Washington Lakes and Green Lake was in mind. As I headed out toward the free way, it was traffic time. I'll say around 2:40 p.m. So instead of goin to Green Lake I exit off at Valley Hospital and aim for Lake Desire. Got there around 3:00. (I had bought a new Lamiglas bait caster and wanted to try it out. 9" 6-15 test line.) and had set up shop on the dock. I was fishing the common way for trout and that was a egg weight on top and a half arm length leader with a size 8 hook. Started out with pink power eggs. Had launch it about as far as it can go and waited. There was an old man who was fishing before me there and we just talk about fishing and about Lake Desire past haha. He was fishing with a bopper and worms but didn't catch anything. So I'll say an hour went by and nothing was biting so I change color and went with green. Cast it back out and within 10 minute I had a bite. At first I thought it was the wind but my pole was bouncing like a 64 Impala haha. Reeled it in and it was a Rainbow trout. 14' to be exact. Nice looking fish so I kept it. Then I put on new fresh Green power eggs and launch it back out. I started conversation with the old man and had another hit within 5 minute. Reeled it in slowly cause I wanted it to fight. Another nice 14'. So I gave it another launch and nothing was hitting no more. I guess it was getting cold and the sun was setting. I pack up and left. Gonna try it again tomorrow in the morning.
