After a windy beginning to the month, things started to settle down...or rather, pick up in the fishing department at Green Lake. Picked out this 10" hatchery planter bow this evening and that was it. First fish on the new Cabela's Stowaway 6 8'6" 3wt rod w/ WLX reel. This setup is a dream! Perfect balance and very light weight. It's my pack rod of choice as it packs down to only 18". There were a few risers at around sunset but they wouldn't take any whether they be flies nymphs, PMX, buggers. The lake water level is up almost a foot compared to last fall. Water clarity was very poor...probably because of all the rain and wind we've been getting recently. As the water clarity gets a little better, things should improve.

Finally, Spring is here! :)

Thanks Eli. I was pretty sure it was you there but could be sure from that distance. Chris said you got a couple of planters up shore. Nice job! Looking forward to some spring Smallmouth action here soon!
