We'll I decided to go out and try for some channel cats on feb 28 at about 6 in the evening and as soon as I got there. There was plenty of action got some nice sized trout and a couple nice perch. And then at about 7 the night sparked off I was just using a night crawler sitting on the bottom then bam the fish was on it felt like I had a log on the end of my line. When I got her up on shore it was a big female channel 35 pounder I took a pic with her and released her she was ready to drop eggs. Then about a hour later bam another big channel cat this time this one was 38 pounds I kept him he was a male and it was a delicious meal then next day so if ur looking for a good time fishing I suggest swofford pond the cats are lights out. But please remember if you catch a big female let her go so we will have big cats to catch in the future.

not trying to be a jerk, but by the pictures, I think your scale is off by about 25#. it may be time to get a new scales. then go back there and catch another state record!

These are not 35 or 38 pound catfish in the pictures. I caught a 15 pounder that looked a lot bigger than those.
