1st time I ever fished American Lake cause it's 90 miles from home. Decided to go for it and meet up with some fellow kayakers. Always good to re-connect with buds....
I missed the 1st 2 hits early on........about 10:30 the bite was on . Caught 4 rainbows in an hour near the islands. Was pulling a Hilderbrant followed by a pink wedding ring tipped with a piece of worm. Pretty good day for the first time on a body of water........

Yea I have caught just about everything on this lake but a cutt so will have to target them a bit next time out~ watch out for me if you are there; 16" smokercraft with a 60 Johnson main with blue canvas top and "salmonbarry" on both sides

Those are nice looking trout good for the smoker. Dont read trout reports if you're expecting bigger fish.
