Just a FYI, only 2 trout over 14" can be retained per angler per day on American.
Not sure why there's a size limit on put and take fish but there is one there.

Fair enough Slacktime, you raise a good question that I'll post in the forum. Technically when fishing with bait, trout kept or released count toward your limit, so if someone C&R two 14"+ trout on American using bait are you technically supposed to stop fishing or allowed to continue to try to fill the limit of under 14" fish? I don't know.....
And don't worry (not that you are) I don't jump on people over this stuff, why I started with "just a fyi". Can't say I really care if you had kept them (or released as you claim), was just mentioning it, that rule doesn't make a lot of sense to me but it's still the rule. Tight lines.

When I fish American Lake I make sure I'm following the rules because I get checked pretty often
by the Game Warden.
