Got to the lake at 1:20pm. Rain and snow mixed and its cold, temp reaching 38 and water is 40 degree. Water is calm and it look like fish are going to bite. Fished for couple hours and marked alot of fish In 19' of water. Only landed 8 crappies. Not bad for picking the worst day to target these fishes. I hAve too many doubter and today I prove them once again.

Congrats! They look chunky! catching crappie in 38 degree weather takes determination and being dialed in,nice job! How did they cook up? (Jackie, this is the place i was talking to you about) were they muddy or clean tasting?

They fried up alright! Taste like any other crappie caught from cleaner lake. The lake and and fish will start to smell muddy in the summer. @ slacktime I caught with just 1/16 oz all white. I just drop it straight down to buttom and jig patiently.
