Fished Bryant for 2 1/2 hour this morning. The trail entrance was covered in water from the previous rain storm. i had take my shoe off and dragged my kayak bare foot so I could keep my foot dry while fishing. Got the yak on the water finnaly ! Im using 1/16o all white crappie jig. Didn't take long to locate them crappie, there every where on this small lake gotta love, was catching them in 15-20ft water, caught 8 big fat crappies and three bass. I didn't keep them, saw couple nice size trout surfacing the top. That's about it. Tight line!

Thanks for the report. I've never fished Bryant. I pretty much do all of my fishing out of my yaks. Do you access the trail right of of hi way 9? Thanks

thanks for the report, but that fish sure looks like a perch not a crappie, anyhow nice picture and it looks like it was a beautful day.

nope, that's a large mouth bass, of which he said he caught 3.

water must have been cold. I don't have a kayak but am thinking of getting one. would waders/boots be too inconvenient when riding in one?

Wader boots are fine if it's a sit on top kayak. I ended up getting a dry suit since I fish in the sound at times

Winter fishing bass and crappie at Bryant can be very good if outside temp reach up to 45+ in late march this lake is on fire for crappies
