Launched the boat about 8am. It was cold but not too bad. Fished the south side of the island first, and found what appeared to be either crappie or bluegill stacked like cord-wood on the fish finder. Getting them to bite was a different story. Tried assorted jigs, grubs, spinners, small plastic worms, and the old stand by, night crawlers. but not a bite to be had. Then motored over to the Hwy 20 side of the lake and tried some rapalas and texas rigged plastic worms, but no bites. Then packed 'er up and went home. Was probably crazy for tryin' this early in the year, but cabin fever got the best of me and had to try 'er out. Will try when it warms up a bit.
