Went out on Sammamish and man did it blow, literally and metaphorically. By the end of the morning it was a sustained 20 mph "breeze" that made fishing quite difficult. Had a couple bites but no fish to the boat. Fished with my cousin's father in law. He lives in OR, so I wanted to show him some fish, but failed miserably. He's a great guy and didn't seem upset by the lack of fish, but it was certainly an adventure on the water with a nearly 3 foot wind chop by the time we pulled the plug. We cycled through all the gear we could think of, different depths, speeds etc, so it was not for lack of persistence or trying that we didn't catch anything. Fun day to be on the water though, I like the crappy weather...sometimes.

Wow Doc, wind looks nasty; really makes for tough fishing. You get a 5 for effort! I'll be going to Roosevelt tomorrow. We'll see how it goes. Alan

Hi Doc,
I remember that stormy day. All the days previous to it and after it were very nice though. Were you able to get out and enjoy the good fishing when it calmed down? The lake is still yielding good numbers of fish.
Thanks for your report !

I actually went out with my boys christmas eve, I'll post a report and a picture today I hope. The lake was flat calm and we hooked 4 in about an hour and a half. My wife worked christmas eve, and I didn't want to leave my boat in the lake over the holidays, so it was a nice afternoon on the water.
