Was on the water by 5:30am.Target fish was bass.Fished docks and coves with topwater baits,had some success with the 1-2 pounders,switched over to spinnerbaits about 8:30am.Spinnerbaits were the ticket! The wind picked up pretty good so I stayed on the slack-water side of the points and casted towards the points.Best colors were gold,or blue&white,both with willow leaf blades.How good was it?? One series of four casts nabbed a 1.8lb'er/a 2.9lb & a 4.2lb'er!!!! Not bad.Around noon I looked for deeper water to try a new worm rig I've been working with,it hit a few 2-3lb bass and the topper,a nice fat 6.6lb HOG!!!
