Finally got the boat out on the water, decided on Big lake as I had
never been skunked on this lake. It had been a few years though and my
perfect record was pretty much soundly thrashed. The lake opened up a #10
can of whoop -ss on us. Had fun just being on the water but still... The
weather was overcast but warm and the wind gusty. Our only hits came on the
north west side of the lake fishing points and one protected cove. Talked to
the other fisherman I saw out there (all 8 of them) and the only catch was a
couple of medium bluegill for one patient guy after many hours of hard
work. Oh well, on the positive side I was able to thin out my tackle box on
some keeper snags. I won't let one bad day turn me off of this lake though,
I've caught 15-20 bass in a day on it, I know they're there. Somewhere. I
think.
