Got on the water around 7:30, started out slow but had the first fish in the boat around 9:30. Now that I think about it there hasn't been much of a morning bite to this fishery, I don’t remember any good mornings last year and so far this year there’s been no reason to be there early. Might just start sleeping in because the “hot” period always seems to be between 10:30-1:30 in my experience. We hooked the next nine fish in this timeframe. Bite wasn’t furious but pretty consistent. All fish were between 12-16” and were healthy fat fish that put up good fights. We had some go airborne several times and not like the net at all. One was lost at the net when it broke off the trail hook (I was negligent in switching out the lure/leader after it had a few fish to its credit). We also caught one kokanee that was released quickly and without any handling which I was happy about and I think another kok was hooked and came off a few feet behind the boat. We trolled wedding rings behind pink splatter dodgers baited with worm down about 25-30’ at about 2mph. Most of the fish came on the east side of the lake about half way up to the weather buoy. Weather worked out great and only started a light sprinkle as we were getting off the water around 2. Great day on the water! Tight lines all!
