decided to make the long trek (4 blocks) down to Green Lake after hearing favorable reports after the recent stocking at the start of the month. fished the east to SE corner for about 3 hours. using waders i stopped every opening i could as i worked my way south from the east side dock. there were a few guys there but they hadnt caught anything. a couple shore fishers said they pulled in 2 fish. general consensus was that the day was pretty slow. i tried hatchery scent power bait with first a bright green corkie then a red bead and pink float ball. after that proved unfruitful i switched over to a small yellow spinner. stopped back at the dock and nobody had seen much action. power bait, roe, prawns, worms all seems to not be working. maybe next time.
