Fished from 8:30 am till 4 pm. Only managed to catch and release one nice larg mouth at 4 1/2 pounds and 3 small pike. Bass hit a 6" yum money minnow and the pike were 2 on soft plastic frogs, and one on a spoon. I missed several more pike on the frogs but they weren't biting they were just rolling on the bait.
I managed to get out fished by a rookie that has really only fished for pike about 5 times in his whole life. :)
Oh well, at least we got some fish stink on my new(to me) boat, and the boat ran out very nicely.
Water temps were 50-53 dgerees and the fish were real tight in the weed beds.
