Fished the south end of Cda Lake again yesterday with a friend. He got a 3lb small mouth for his efforts and missed a couple of pike. I ended the day with a little small mouth a 2 1/2 lb large mouth and 4 pike. Two dinks and two nice fish. One was 32" and weighed in at 8 1/2 pounds. The biggest was a 32 1/2"er that weighed 11lbs 12oz. Not a stellar day numbers wise but nice to get a couple of quality fish in the boat. All fish were released. The pike came on Soft plastic frogs and X Raps. Water temps were 46 to 53 degrees throughout the day. All fish came from outside edges of the weedlines. Nothing seems to be hanging right in the weeds at this point. Looks like the fall fattening up for pike is starting to get going. They didn't have big bellies but they were nice healthy fish. Slower presentation also helped. Sorry for the blacked out spot in the first photo. It pinpointed the location a little too well :)
