Got to the lake about 3:00pm, weather was calm, but a cold front was moving in. I talked to a guy who had been there all morning, he said he had been slaying them on chironomids. Well, not me. I fished for 3.5 hours without a strike using chiros, leeches, emergers, etc. After I decided to call it a day, I was trolling in and caught a 6-inch largemouth bass. Not much of a consolation prize.
I think the rapidly falling barometer put the fish off for a while. Certainly, it couldn't be my fishing that was to blame.
