Launched the raft at 12:30. Trolled plugs in search of German brown trout. Made one pass along the woodsy side of the,lake along the whole length trolling about 40` from shore all the way to the end. Only caught 2 dink bass . So I switched my method radically. I put on a hook 1/4Oz split shot places 20" from the hook and 1 whole crawler and drifted just off the bottom in the wind. That was the ticket! Immediately caught a 11" or so bass. Next cast just as I start to drift my rod nose dives I set the hook, after a short but fierce Tussel. I net a decent 13" rainbow. After that it was fish on every few minutes mostly cutthroat, a few perch and dink bass intermittently. I kept 4 cutts and 1 bow. I'm glad a got on the lake, a nice relaxing day with the whole lake to my self all day. A nice change of pace from salmon fishing.
