I woke up this morning (usually a good thing), and saw the wind was not blowing, but I have some counseling appointments today, so I went early to Myron, with the excuse that the dogs needed a walk (as if they don't get enough exercise running on our land). Anyway, it was a real catch 22 proposition. No, seriously, I caught 22! All but one were smallish, around 8-9" but one was 11". Threw (okay, gently replaced, after the dogs sniffed each) all of them back to grow. It was a tie between my homemade plastics, and Jiggy's new Crappie Whatever He Named It. Sort of a mini worm in multiple colors. They did like it though. The lures I made were silver and clear glitter, and one I call Clown College. Fun way to start the day, and something to inspire me through sitting in my office, though the privilege of hearing others share is enough. just icing on the cake. Mmmm... There's an idea...
Remember this is a special regs lake. No bait, barbless single hooks, one rod, and whatever else. Also the fish & Wildlife guy said no scent is to be applied on the lures. That one is tougher, since all my lures are coated when they are made. This guy said I didn't have to wash them, but adding any more would be illegal, or at least that was what was enforced. Anybody know more about this? The regs look pretty black and white. Makes no scents to me. Sorry...
