I fished off of the southeastern shoreline (nearest to the Public Fishing parking lot) for 1-1/2 hours. I caught a 4" Largemouth Bass and a fat 13" Rainbow Trout on a 1/4-oz. chrome Kastmaster slab-jig which I let sink for ~17 seconds or so. The trout fought well and wriggled free from the single barbless hook when I gave it some slack at the shoreline during Catch-and-Release fishing. It was the first Medical Lake trout that I've ever caught (after 4 previous attempts). The wind was very light and it was mostly cloudy. There no other fishermen around (on the water or along the shoreline) that I could see.
P.S. Before I fished Medical Lake today at 8:15-9:45 AM, I had stopped first at Silver Lake at sunrise (7 AM). There was steam coming off of the water at the Public Fishing dock, but I was "skunked" (no fish). AFTER Medical Lake, I stopped by nearby Clear Lake and fished for an hour (10-11 AM) off the Fairchild AFB fishing dock at the southeast corner and got "skunked" there too. There WAS a big fish (a Largemouth) that followed my Kastmaster lure in on the first cast, but I could not entice it to bite.
