Started out a little later than I wanted, launching at about 8am, and paddling south for about an hour until I got to productive water.
It was absolutely gorgeous out, and the overcast skies seem to keep the bite more active than usual. Inside of an hour and a half, I picked up a couple LMB dinks, and found this 3.1lb fish on the outside weed line just in front of the docks. Bit on the hula grub.
About a hour later, the sun burned through the cloud cover, and that was my que to head in. It was nice to get a win back on the home lake, right after breaking my dry spell on Washington.
Going to start experimenting with dragging bigger baits in deeper water next week. Had loaned out my fish finder, so it will be nice to have it back to help the cause. Found these large realistic crawfish baits at 3 rivers I REALLY want to test out.
Tight Lines.
