We visit this lake frequently, as we have relatives who have lakefront property. Normally i fish for Largemouth Bass, but I decided to take my son fishing for Yellow Perch as I just purchased him his first pole. I've had a lot of luck catching Yellow Perch on a Mepps comet mino silver blade/trout #1. Today we fished using a bobber and night crawler cut into 1/3. The perch were slamming the night crawlers as soon as they would hit he water. We caught a total of 17 and kept 4 in 1 1/2 hours. A great day spent fishing with the kid. The Perch were filleted and pan seared in some butter, delicious!
