Fishing has been really slow for me the last few weeks, can’t seem to hook into anything decent. The few bites I have been getting, seem to be coming from the obdundence of pesky perch. Haven’t seen too many other reports posted, so I think it’s just that time of year.
Snuck out onto the dock on my lunch break and let myself get rained on a bit. After about an hour of nada, I made my very last cast, and picked up this one on the hulagrub that was holding much deeper, in about 35’ of water.
Felt great to break through the weeks of being skunked. Scale put it at 2.8lbs, not a monster… but not too bad. Had a lot of fight in him, and at one point tried to run under the dock and wrap himself up on the pilings. ?
Had a cool sighting too… saw some guy out there testing out one of those “water jet packs”. That thing must be a lot harder that it looked, because the guy was struggling to get more than 4-6 feet off the water. Every time he would get up, he would lose balance, and get rocketed sideways back into the water. Lol.
Here is a link to a guy playing with one on lake union.
