I got on the water at about 1:00 pm. Thought I would give it a try before the state poisons it. I fished from one end of the lake to the other. If I saw a spot that looked liked it should hold fish I hit it. I saw hundreds of small bass and caught a dozen or so, nothing over 6". It was good practice for trying out tackle and techniques but wish I could have boated a few keepers. I tried several types of lures, the best seemed to be a motor oil colored senko wacky worm. I threw them into openings in the weed mats and let them float down. The fish would hit within a few seconds. It is a nice lake and not a lot of boat traffic.

Little boat traffic and close to town is why I love(d) to bass this lake, I fish out of a canoe so afternoon trips to lakes like Silver, Rock, Deer, Newman, Clear for Bass are out of the question for me. Majorly bummed for just another bigboy trout lake, womp womp wommmmp.

ps Thx for the report.
