Fished my home lake, Tapps. Tough day. Started out on the pocket in front of the boat launch. Caught two. Then went to Driftwood Point without catching a fish, then went to the point south of Banker's Island where I caught two, then to Golf Ball Point where I caught four, including my biggest which was 3-4. Talk about a little pig! It had to be the fattest smallmouth I have ever caught It was literally shaped like a football. Obviously, it has figured out how to pork out on what swims around Photo included.

nice, I think after labor day, they don't charge to launch anymore. I'll be up there soon. Next year I'm just gonna buy a pass.

I think the yearly pass is $75.00 if you live in Pierce County. Double that if you live outside of Pierce County, which I do. But because I am a senior, launching only costs me $5.00. Amx is partially right about the booth only being open on weekends after the Labor Day weekend. But I have seen it open on weekdays if it has been sunny for an extended period. And just the opposite with the booth being closed even on weekends when the weather was lousy. So it can be a coin toss sometimes.
