Fished Loon Lake last night with a buddy from 8:30 pm to 1:30 am and took home a 2 day limit of 40 fish. We were the only vehicle at the public access and weather was very pleasant last night. Fish are still in good shape and best depth seemed to be a little deeper in 36 feet of water.

Nice catch tnga. We launched out of Granite point resort. Got a late start and left the gas lantern in the truck, had to go back and get it. Ended up with 20. Were you fishing the south end?

Downriggeral: We were fishing near Granite Point Resort too and came from the public launch on the northwest side where we were the only vehicle in the parking lot (coming and going). We had a blast fishing for these light biters as there seem to be consistent schools moving in all night. Glad to hear you guys had good success as well. I was surprised to see very few fisherman since the fishing is still very good and fish are in good shape.

We have fished quite a few times and done very well always having a blast!. I too was surprised not many were fishing. Maybe the chance of thunder storms earlier scared them off? There was only one other rig in the Granite Point launch parking lot.
Your catch looked like mostly males too, am I correct? They are sure nice fat chunky fish.

Fish were mostly males, about 2/3 And yes they were all chunky. I have realized that jigging at night primarily produces larger fish whereas daytime trolling produces a mix of big and small, don't know why but not complaining one bit.
