Went to Big Lake today to try for some LMB. Got to the lake at first light and headed along the shoreline clockwise. Beautifull morning, no wind and just a little fog. Caught a couple dinks pretty quick, fishing the docks and whatever structure I could find. Was using mostly crankbaits in different colors and depths depending on how deep I could go without pulling up weeds. I was trying to go as deep as possible because it has been so warm I figured the bass might be holding deeper. After a couple more dinks and a few really decent size perch I was crankin around the side of a dock when my crankbait got smashed. After a good fight I landed the biggest of the day weighed in at 4lbs. 3oz. Took a few pics with my camera but I am using a temp. laptop and can't load them...
Ended up catching several more small bass all around a pound or less. Gave the outing a 4 because of the consistant action and catching my biggest LMB of the year. Going out to Lake Wa on Saturday morning to crank for some SMB.
