Went to Tapps this morning. Didn't catch the numbers I did on the last couple trips, but how can one complain about a 22 fish day. Caught four that went from 3.0 to 3.12, which is the biggest smallmouth I've caught out of Tapps. All caught on a Carolina rig in 18 to 22 ft of water.

Wow, you're slaying those SMB @ Tapps. I wish I could average 10% of your catch and I'll be a happy camper. Are you hitting the same area(s)? Or is the fish just everywhere for you? LOL.

Today I began on a hump right out front of the boat launch. Only caught one there. Then moved to a big double point a half mile or so from the launch. I stayed there until I left the lake at noon. It's a big area with a lot of irregularities in the contours of the bottom. That's where I caught all but the first fish. But most times I hop from one point to another. This time that wasn't necessary.

Good job Ricky. Glad to knwo they are hitting. My mom is flying in the Minnesota on Thursday and I plan on taking her out on Friday. First time this year in the boat. I am lagging this year. You going to be out there?

Wow, I really don't know. I went out today and will be making a post shortly. If you see a small grey bassboat that says Bass Tender on its sides, and/or see a teal blue 2011 Ford F-150 FWD pickup with matching canopy in the parking lot, that's me.
