Got a later start this morning then planned because of the rain at Lake Stevens. Got a few keepers, lost some, and turned some small ones loose. I was just about to quit Kokanee fishing and try for some perch when one of my rods took a header. I knew it was a good fish, but when I saw it roll, I got a little exited. It didn't look like a Kokanee, so I'm thinking this is a real nice rainbow, or the biggest kokanee in the lake. Turned out to be a 4#, 22" rainbow.
Then it was off to perch fsh. Found some nice 9 1/2 to 10 1/2 inchers and a couple brown cats for good measure.
So it was a mixed bag day for me today. Not bad even if I did get plenty wet.

I want to thank the individual that found my keys and put them where I would find them. That really made my day. Putting keys in your packet while wearing rain gear is a challenge, and obviously I missed the pocket. Hope you had as good a day as I did, you deserve it. It is always nice to know there are still some honest, thoughtful, and helpful people out there. Thanks a million!!

Bet you are wishing you would have stayed home last week and fished lake Stevens rather than Baker. But you can't beat Bakers scenery. Yes there are a few good people out there yet. In the wrong hands someone could have ran off with your truck. Almost done packing for Wenatchee.

I have never fished for Kokanee. How deep are you trolling, what type of lure and what type or corn are you using?

The biters were around 35" deep. I use a custom tied green spinner- green wedding ring type- with shoe peg corn that is marinated with shrimp scent or something similar.
