Went fishing yesterday with a friend in his bassboat. Was on the lake at 6:00. I've had some great days on Lake Tapps. But it out did itself this time. My partner caught somewhere over 30 smallmouth. As far as what I caught, I quit counting somewhere in the mid 30's. But a good guess would be over 50 smallmouth, with at least 8 over two pounds and three over three pounds. I added a photo of what I think was the biggest. And because of a personal commitment, I had to leave the lake at noon. Because we were still consistently catching fish, it about killed me to leave. They were truly on the feed. Many were coughing up crappie and perch fry. While fighting one smallie, it coughed up four fry. All of my fish were caught on a Carolina rig with a curly tailed grub in watermellonseed. My partner stuck with a dropshot rig. Most were caught around points in 15 to 18 feet of water, some shallower. Am going out again tomorrow. If I have half the day that one was I will be more than happy.

Nice job. Your report encouraged me to try Tapps out last night from shore.
