Fished Buffalo Lake with my golfing buddy after a 3 hour drive & set out crawfish traps in hopes of increasing our "bounty". We didn't get to the lake until 11:00 A.M. & had only 4 hours before having to move on. We got 4 nice trout with 2 at 17 inches. Had more hits but couldn't hook them up. Only boat on the lake. We did limit on crawfish after soaking our 4 pots for the time that we were there.
This lake is on the Colville Reservation & requires a tribal permit & has a reduced limit for crawfish. It is five pounds versus the 10 pound limit under Washington regs. It is a beautiful lake, but a bit off the beat & track. I'm hooked on those little "fresh water lobsters" & I know I'll try one more trip before the season ends. Make sure you check the Colville regs. before you go. The restrictions on this lake are different than the Washington state laws.

Such a nice thing to see a report from an oddball (way out there) lake like this. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy those mudbugs.

Wedding rings & worms & trolling with the mild wind. Yellow was the hot lure. Had to finally give in & change my lure to that color after my buddy had 3 fish & I had none!
