Haven't been to Meridian in awhile so Rob and I decided to take my Dad and brother up to see if the fishing was still good. Got on the lake at 7:30 to try and beat the 9:00 water skiiers and tubers. Glad we did 9:01 here they come! My brother had never Kok fished Meridian before and said this is like mini salmon fishing! The fishing was hot right off the start. we trolled about 100ft and it was fish on! The fishing continued steady with catching or loosing fish about every 5 minutes until about 10:00. we had 13 or 14 fish in the boat and hadnt had a bite in a while and decided to check the gear. Good thing we did, rob was driving and might have taken us a little shallow! 1 rod had no bait and the other was covered with weeds,"nice driving rob"! Fresh gulp maggots and back down to 25 and 30ft. within 30 seconds fish on again. We fished for 4hrs and got our 4 limits and had just as many drive byes or fish offs. Today is my dads 85th birthday and he had a blast fishing with us. My brother said he will be out here with his boat soon. Looked like the other boats were doing well also!

Great report! As a total newbie to Kokanee, I tried Kayak fishing with Shoepeg corn and a flashy leader line. Not a lot of luck. Can you offer any advice?
