Hit the lake at 5:30 am.....was the first and only one there which was nice! Weather was overcast and cool but very little wind . Set the downrigger and started getting hits right away but they were biting softly and lost the first few. After about 30 minutes they began to hit harder and landed three . Ended up taking me about 2 hrs to get my limit but it was far from fast and furious. Once again pink was the color and changed up the dodger a couple times. One other guy ended up bottom fishing and that was it ...which made it a peaceful morning.
The bite has obviously slowed just a bit but still plenty of fish and fun .......it's been a great spring on meridian and I'm sure there will be fish biting thru the summer !
