The Rygaard clan came to the Chelan Valley from Port Angeles for the summer vacation. They were nice enough to come out and fish with us. The Bar was not kind to me, but we made up for lost ground by having a double, a triple and a double out of the pothole. We eked out some more fish and finished with a nice pile
As always, we fished tight to the bottom. Today the bigger fish came off the U20 Purple glow Flatfish on the outside rods. The downrigger rods with Ace Hi Flies baited with a piece of Northern Pikeminnow caught the most fish, albeit the smaller ones. Speeds of 1.3 to 1.5 triggered the most fish. Our shallowest fish was 136 feet deep. Our deepest fish was 243 feet deep. The potholes from 215 to 225 Feet deep produced the most fish. A tiny bit of cooling and cloud cover made it a very comfortable morning to be out on the lake.
