Tried some fishing at the Mosseyrock Dam fishing area, off of Highway 12. It was sunny with not much wind blowing. The fishing calendar rated it a good day. I got there at 6:30 in the evening. I counted about 11 other people fishing there, when I got there.

I caught one, too small silver (land-locked Coho.) I saw a few silvers being caught, but not like in past years. I was using worms or shrimp for bait, about 6 feet down. They were not jumping much. I tried fishing off of the bottom, to see what would happen. I found out that is a great way to catch bullheads.

you must have been there on an off day. or, weren't fishing the right depth??? we stopped by on the way to packwood on the fourth for an hour or so and brought back 8 keepers, lots of bites and shorties released. I could see them swim by about ten or so ft deep with my polars. Im headed down this wk with the boat for my ole ladys b day. probably park at mossyrock and find a camp spot on the lake. cant wait

Probably was an off day. I do okay usually up near the surface. Maybe it was too hot. Good luck on your fishing trip.
