Spent the morning with my "muskyhuntress" trying to put a good fish in the net. Tapps is great for small fish right now. Lots of 30" and under fish now. The bigger fish are far and few in between and a ton of small smallies around the big girls are hard to find. We did though, today, get my wife her very first tiger while casting. She's gotten a bunch trolling but not yet the traditional way. Throwing a crank bait at deep docks with a crane bait paid off for her today. The Mrs had a very generous follow and hang out at the boat fish, that waited as my wife put the bait back in the water twitched it and ms.musky obliged with her jaws clamping down on the crane. My muskyhuntress shocked ms.musky with a solid hook set a little run under the boat and a good net job and Gayle got her first casting. A 41" beauty with a even more beautiful smile on muskyhuntress's face made my whole weekend. So proud of her!!!
